About:
With over 10 years of photography experience specializing in new born photography for family and friends I was introduced to drones through several YouTube travel channels and I wanted one bad. After selling my now 11 year old camera I had the cash to buy my 1st drone, a DJI mini 2. I chose a mini for a few reasons, easy to travel with and something to learn on!! Once I heard about the FAA part 107 I challenged myself to pass the test so I ordered a book and used a few apps on my phone to study and take practice exams. Within a month I was ready to take the test and passed with an 82. Not even thinking about using it for commercial use until I came across another YouTube channel on “how to make money with your drone.” I became intrigued and figured it was time to invest in a full size drone, the DJI Air2S. This was quite the investment but I was confident in my skills and I already had an iPad Pro, editing software and purchased a Drone Flight control app to begin doing autonomous flight missions for photogrammetry. I use Lightroom/Photoshop along with LumaFusion for video editing. With more experience with come bigger drones and I’m excited at what the future holds for me and my new career in the drone industry.
