The latest "Jetsons-esque" mobile is the Pegasus E-Class.
Designed and manufactured by Pegasus Aerospace, the E-Class promises a 300-mile range and up to three hours of flying between refuelings. It can boogie earthbound at 75 miles per hour and zoom skyward at 99 mph.
Although it looks more like a tiny helicopter than a car, the Pegasus E-Class promises to fit in a standard garage and transition seamlessly between terrestial and air travel. It even uses conventional high-octave gasoline as fuel, so there's no need to visit a specialized charging station or an airport. Just be careful not to freak out other drivers gassing up at Shell or Chevron as you hover into a fuel lane. We're only kind of joking. The E-Class already has an airworthiness registration with Australia's Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA), and Pegasus Aerospace is trying to quickly attain FAA registration in the United States.
Pegasus plans to showcase the E-Class at CES in January 2025.
