About:

I am a certified 107 pilot based out of Central Virginia. I am also an avid amateur astronomer and astrophotographer. Have always been fascinated by autonomous telescopes and the fact tht drones can sometimes perform autonomous operations. I have experience with image processing due to my astrophotography experience for over 20 years.

I have recenly started to learn how to create 3D models of structures using a drone. Mapping on a non-Survey-Level is also something I like and the processing of the images. I am taking several courses on construction, volumetrics and construction progress and using my surrounding rural area to practice almost daily. I have used and work with Polycam. WebODM, Waypoint-OS, Maps Made Easy and several other software platforms.

I have been a telecom executive for over 20 years working mainly with fiber optics and wireless operators. For that reason I am in the process of contacting some of my enineering colleagues in the industry and looking for an opportunity to get started in the Telecom /cell tower inspection side of the business.

I lived for 26 years in South Florida, and the last year we moved with my wife and our youngest musician to a house in the County of Orange,VA where scenic views are plenty and where a lot of construction is happening and will increase in the next few years as all the urban and suburban wave of  people, businesses and construction continue to migrate south of the NoVA region close to DC, into central Virginia.

Learning is part of my daily life in business in astronomy and now in the drone world.

I love to learn, try new things and face new challenges.
