ABZ Innovation L30 V2

<a style="color: #ba372a;" href="https://www.xtend.me/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">XTEND Reality Inc</a>., a global leader in human-guided autonomous drone systems, officially debuted its new U.S. headquarters and production facility today in Tampa, Florida. The ribbon-cutting event brought together federal, state and local leaders, as well as military personnel, to celebrate a major milestone in advancing American drone capabilities and bolstering regional economic development.
The new facility will manufacture and integrate XTEND's advanced drone systems to support critical U.S. defense missions. The opening comes as federal leaders intensify their push for domestically produced drone technologies that reduce foreign reliance and strengthen national security.

XTEND was founded in 2018 by brothers Aviv and Matteo Shapira in partnership with Rubi Liani. Prior to establishing XTEND, the Shapira brothers co-founded Replay Technologies, which was acquired by Intel in 2016 for $175 million.

XTEND opens U.S. Headquarters in Tampa

<a href="https://www.patriagroup.com/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Patria</a> is leading an industrial consortium in a new project combining electronic warfare and data transmission technologies that widely applies artificial intelligence. <a href="https://www.patriagroup.com/about-us/research-and-innovations/ai-wasp" target="_blank" rel="noopener">AI-WASP</a> (Artificial Intelligence Warfare Adaptive Swarm Platform) aims to develop a next-generation scalable and cognitive (swarm intelligence-driven) transceiver system (AIMA).
European armed forces operating in different operational environments need up-to-date situational awareness and communication systems that enable agile network solutions in dynamic tactical situations as well as the ability to defend against and counter electronic warfare.
Combining secure communications, frequency monitoring and electronic countermeasures in a single software-defined radio system will improve European defense readiness in a modern multidimensional warfare environment. AI-WASP is intended to cover manned and unmanned autonomous platforms of various sizes in all operational environments, including arctic conditions and vehicle interoperability.
Finland, Sweden, Estonia, Italy, Greece and Spain support the joint project and have signed a letter of intent to develop the system. The countries will also provide national funding for the project in addition to the 45 million euro support from the European Commission. The industrial consortium, led by Patria, brings together 16 top-class developers from across Europe, including key players from France, Germany and Lithuania.

<a style="color: #ba372a;" href="https://mightyfly.com/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">MightyFly </a>successfully conducted a live flight demonstration for the U.S. Air Force as part of its SBIR Phase II contract under the Department of the Air Force&rsquo;s <a href="https://afwerx.com/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">AFWERX</a> program. MightyFly provides expedited logistics services and manufactures and operates autonomous, hybrid-electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) cargo aircraft.
The demonstration, held at the New Jerusalem Airport on May 8, 2025, showcased MightyFly&rsquo;s autonomous cargo aircraft and its patented Autonomous Load Mastering System (ALMS). The Cento aircraft executed a DoD-relevant mission, demonstrating autonomous flight, cargo loading, unloading, and onboard package handling and balance management.
The Cento transported two large boxes from origin to destination. Before takeoff, the ALMS-equipped aircraft autonomously positioned and secured the packages into its cargo compartment. The aircraft then closed its nose cone, took off, flew to the destination, landed and ejected the packages without human intervention. It then continued to a third destination.
The demonstration also included autonomous handling of representative packages across key sectors, including healthcare, retail, logistics, manufacturing, disaster relief, and defense.
The recent Presidential Executive Order supporting domestic eVTOL adoption highlights the use of these aircraft for &ldquo;medical response, cargo transport, and rural access&rdquo; missions*, which align with MightyFly&rsquo;s model. This policy presents a timely opportunity for MightyFly as the company positions itself as a national asset in next-generation logistics, offering high efficiency services, minimal infrastructure requirements and low operational costs for both commercial and defense applications.

MightyFly demos Cento eVTOL for U.S. Air Force

<a href="https://www.doordash.com/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">DoorDash</a> and <a href="https://www.flytrex.com/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Flytrex</a> today announced the launch of their drone delivery service in the&nbsp;Dallas-Fort Worth&nbsp;metroplex, expanding upon a successful pilot program. Customers in parts of&nbsp;Little Elm&nbsp;and&nbsp;Frisco&nbsp;can now order food from dozens of local and national restaurants, including from Papa Johns King Road location and The Brass Tap, between 8:00am and 9:30pm, with delivery via Flytrex&rsquo;s autonomous drone fleet.
This marks Flytrex&rsquo;s first third-party app integration, enabling customers to place orders directly through the DoorDash app. Eligible customers can select drone delivery at checkout, with orders prepared at restaurants and flown to their homes. The service currently reaches over 30,000 households and more than 100,000 residents, with additional DFW sites launching soon.
DoorDash now offers the region&rsquo;s most expansive drone operating hours and the highest payload capacity. Flytrex drones can carry up to 6.6 pounds&mdash;the largest in the region&mdash;and next-generation models will increase capacity to 8.8 pounds.

After all, there has been lots of action in the government regarding banning the Chinese company's wares from these shores due to security concerns.&nbsp;
But has DJI decided to take its drones and leave?
On the surface, DJI claims it will continue to support the U.S. market. But a report from <a href="https://www.theverge.com/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">The Verge</a> has revealed that retailers are finding it hard to stock DJI drones&mdash;or that they are reluctant to sell them due to the volatile U.S.-China tariff situation.
&ldquo;We&rsquo;re not really carrying DJI drones anymore because of the U.S.-China thing,&rdquo; a Best Buy employee told The Verge's Sean Hollister when he visited his local store.&nbsp;&nbsp;

As reported by <a href="https://dronedj.com/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">DroneDJ</a> on June 23, the DJI U.S. webstore currently has no drones to sell.&nbsp;
Amazon&mdash;where DJI has an "official presence"&mdash;appears to be offering drones via third parties with "low or unknown" stock.
B&amp;H and Adorama stores are showing the latest DJI drones as "temporarily on backorder or out of stock."

At press time, there was no further comment from the company.
U.S. Customs and Border Protector apparently isn't going on record with the media about the situation either.
Will DJI suffer a United States ban on its products, or will it ban itself from the U.S.?

Has DJI Forsaken the USA?

<a href="https://www.avinc.com/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">AeroVironment, Inc. (AV)</a> announced it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Hans Christian Andersen Aiport in Odense, Denmark&ndash;home to the UAS Denmark Test Center&ndash;to explore joint utilization of the center&rsquo;s expansive airspace and advanced test facilities. The agreement aims to leverage UAS Denmark&rsquo;s strategic range and infrastructure to support AV&rsquo;s uncrewed aircraft system (UAS) demonstration operations, mission training, and customer integration activities across the region.
The collaboration is expected to enable joint research and development (R&amp;D) initiatives and accelerate the growth of the UAS Denmark Test Center as a regional epicenter for advanced UAS innovation, evaluation, and operational readiness.
"This MOU represents a significant milestone in expanding AV&rsquo;s operational footprint in Europe," said Shane Hastings, AV&rsquo;s vice president and general manager of Medium UAS. "Our partnership with UAS Denmark positions us to deliver enhanced capabilities, mission-critical training, and integrated UAS solutions to allied defense forces and government stakeholders across the region."
This agreement follows AV&rsquo;s February 2025 Framework Agreement with the Danish Ministry of Defence Acquisition and Logistics Organization (DALO), under which AV is delivering advanced UAS, operator and maintainer training, and lifecycle support to strengthen the Danish Armed Forces&rsquo; intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) capabilities. The MOU with UAS Denmark builds on this momentum and reinforces AV&rsquo;s commitment to delivering tactical advantage through scalable, reliable, and combat-proven UAS platforms.
By formalizing this collaboration, AV continues to expand its international partnerships and operational support capabilities&mdash;ensuring allied forces have access to the tools and training required to maintain readiness in dynamic environments.

AV and UAS Denmark Enter Strategic Partnership

France's <a href="https://www.parrot.com/en" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Parrot SA</a> showed its new <a style="color: #ba372a;" href="https://www.parrot.com/en/drones/anafi-ukr" target="_blank" rel="noopener">ANAFI UKR</a> micro-drone at the Paris Air Show 2025.
The next generation of the company's ANAFI USA drone, the ANAFI UKR weighs approximately two pounds, can utilize AI to act as an autopilot for UAVs, and will fly up to minutes without a GPS signal (56 minutes total).
&ldquo;When the war in Ukraine started, and electronic warfare became a huge issue with GPS jamming and spoofing and electromagnetic environments that were totally messed up,&rdquo; said Parrot drone software manager Marie Calleux. &ldquo;And we said, &lsquo;Well, let's make a drone for that.'&rdquo;
The ANAFI UKR can remain fully operational in a global navigation satellite system-denied environment, as well as in hostile electromagnetic conditions&mdash;thanks to its optical navigation, anti-spoofing with frequency-hopping military radio, and cybersecurity tech. &ldquo;It can fly without GPS, and it can fly totally disconnected,&rdquo; said Calleux, who also revealed the drone can even read maps. &ldquo;It comes with an internal memory," she added, "so the military, police, or government agency can plug in their maps, and the drone knows how to read them.
