<p>This milestone marks the first time that an unmanned aircraft in its category has obtained both North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) military certification (STANAG 4703) and the Light UAS Operator Certificate (LUC) at SAIL III from the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA).</p>
<p>This dual certification is the result of five years of rigorous testing and development, during which UAV Navigation-Grupo Oes&iacute;a played a key role by providing critical technology to ensure the reliability and robustness of the PRIMOCO One 150&rsquo;s flight control system. Thanks to its cutting-edge autopilot capabilities, the UAV met stringent safety and operational requirements in shared airspace.</p>
<p>"This milestone not only reaffirms the quality and reliability of our navigation and control systems but also demonstrates our ability<strong> </strong>to support our customers in the most demanding certification processes worldwide," stated Miguel &Aacute;ngel de Frutos, Director and CTO of UAV Navigation-Grupo Oes&iacute;a. <p>The certification process included more than 200 verifications, 170 test flights, and nearly 50 ground tests, collecting an extensive volume of data that validated the performance of UAV Navigation-Grupo Oes&iacute;a&rsquo;s flight control system. The Spanish autopilot manufacturer has also contributed by<strong> </strong>providing evidence and a certification data pack confirming the robustness and reliability of the flight control system.</p>
<p>This advanced technology has been crucial in demonstrating the One 150&rsquo;s ability to operate safely alongside manned aircraft and other certified UAVs in complex environments.</p>
<p>In addition to this military certification, the civilian EASA LUC obtained for SAIL III enables the One 150 to operate over urban areas with population densities of up to 5,000 inhabitants per square kilometer, significantly expanding its range of civilian applications.</p>

Gremsy VIO F1 Achieves Blue UAS Clearance

<p><span style="color: #ba372a;"><em>09 April 2025</em></span></p>
<p><a href="https://www.flyzipline.com/" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><span style="color: #ba372a;"><strong>Zipline</strong></span></a> &mdash; which, as we reported in 2022, has already made <span style="color: #ba372a;"><strong><a style="color: #ba372a;" href="https://www.thedroningcompany.com/blog/medical-supplies-delivered-by-drones-saving-lives-in-africa" target="_blank" rel="noopener">often-lifesaving medical deliveries in Africa</a></strong></span> &mdash; is bringing drone delivery to the Dallas-Fort Worth suburb of Mesquite, and, expected soon, Seattle.</p>
<p>Critically, given the miles that delivery drones must fly to complete their missions, Zipline was granted clearance for BVLOS (beyond visual line of sight) operations&mdash;the first commercial company to receive such approval. One of the reasons, Zipline's drones have been able to acquire FAA part 107, 108, and 135 classifications to do their work is partly due to sensors and safety. Zipline craft deploy FAA-required transponder data to navigate controlled airspace&mdash;such as around airports&mdash;as well as detection devices to automatically steer clear of other aircraft. In addition, onboard sensors help the drones avoid probelmatic weather by re-routing flight paths. They can even send weather reports back to the control center to update other drones about the situation.</p>
<p>Zipline's UAV&mdash;or <em>UAVs</em>, we shoud say&mdash;are unique. The design slated for Dallas is a drone within a drone. The Zipline P2 craft, which has five propellers, arrives at the delivery site and then releases a second, smaller drone called a Zip that is guided by a tether as it targets the final location. The P2 is capable of flying ten miles and can handle a cargo capacity of eight pounds.</p>
<p>Zipline also utilizes a P1 drone, a fixed-wing craft that can fly around 120 miles on a charge, and drops it cargo using a parachute.</p>

<p>Although drone deliveries may be the future, the business of enacting them has been fraught. A giant such as Amazon, for example, has had some misfires with its drone delivery initiatives, and temporarily paused its program last year, before resuming flights in Texas and Arizone.</p>
<p>However, if productivity is the key to eventual success, Zipline can boast it currently delivers thousands of packages per day. For its part, it's reported that Amazon's recent deliveries have totaled less than 10,000.</p>

Zipline Testing Local Drone Deliveries

<p>After the start of the AI revolution, the next technological leap is already waiting for the world: Quantum computers.</p>
<p>A team from Google claims to have already solved a major problem for researchers and created the first real hype on the stock markets. But the race has only just begun. Europe, China and the USA are fighting for technological leadership. The technology giants are at the forefront, but there are also small players.</p>
<h5><span style="color: #ba372a;"><strong>Brave New Quantum World</strong></span></h5>
<p>It's like in many areas: The USA, China and Europe are fighting for technological leadership in many areas: From biotechnology to computer chips to autonomous vehicles. Sometimes one is better off, sometimes the competition is.</p>
<p>The battle is particularly fierce in quantum technology. After all, a breakthrough and supremacy in quantum computers could give us a major competitive advantage. In the brave new quantum world, quantum chips are hundreds of thousands of times faster than previous products, communication networks become tap-proof, drones packed with quantum technology relieve people in agriculture of difficult work and quantum sensors with previously unimagined capabilities enable completely new applications such as brain scanners for your pocket.</p>
<h5><span style="color: #ba372a;"><strong>The Future Traded on the Stock Exchange</strong></span></h5>
<p>It's all still a dream of the future, but many things are now emerging. And right in the middle of it all is a competition between the technology superpowers USA, China and the European Union. China is said to have launched a program worth 15 billion US dollars. The Europeans, on the other hand, are holding more than 9 billion euros in funding from Brussels and the individual member states. The USA traditionally relies more on the private sector. Google and IBM, which have pumped billions into this technology and are regarded as global leaders, are considered to be the leaders here. The Alphabet subsidiary Google also caused the first real quantum hype on the stock market. The Californian company announced that it had solved the previously serious problem of error correction in quantum chips. As a result, many quantum shares on the Nasdaq and elsewhere multiplied within a few days in November and December of last year. The first boom had begun! And, as we all know, the future is traded on the stock exchange!</p>
<h5><strong><span style="color: #ba372a;">Google, IBM and Zenatech</span></strong></h5>
<p>Google shares, which have long been overshadowed by Nvidia, Apple and the like, have been on a roll ever since. It reached a new all-time high and is currently trading only slightly below it.</p>
<p><a href="https://www.zenatech.com/" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><span style="color: #ba372a;"><strong>ZenaTech</strong></span></a> (USD 6.04, CA98936T2083) could also be one of the beneficiaries of this hype. The company, which is listed on the Nasdaq, is still largely unknown among German investors. Unlike many drone companies, the company has strong roots and skills in enterprise SaaS software area that they leverage to design and manufacture their drones. Theyoffers drones that are equipped with AI and in addition, the company also announced work on a quantum computing project looking into drone swarms for applications like traffic management and wildfire management that need the advanced processing of data to take today&rsquo;s solutions to the next level. , . So far, its customers have mainly been companies and government organizations for their enterprise software solutions, and they are focused on defense and agriculture, and logistics and warehouses for their drone technology solutions. Recently, ZenaTech took another step towards NDAA (National Defense Act Administration) compliance for its entire supply chain through annoucing the development of cameras, sensors and compent parts will come from US-friendly country Taiwan through their Spider Vision Sensors subsidiary.. The company has stated that it and plans to apply for Green UAS and Blue UAS in order to be on the supplier list for the US defense complex and NATO.</p>
<h5><span style="color: #ba372a;"><strong>ZenaTech Expansion in the USA</strong></span></h5>
<p>The company plans on expanding rapidly in the USA. Most recently, the subsidiary ZenaDrone moved into a new facility in Arizona where it plans to produce drones for the US Department of Defense and NATO. In addition, the company has already expanded its market position through two acquisitions in the field of land surveying. It plans to combine the precision and speed of drones to innovate the process of land surveys. Further it plans to use this as the first stage of it&rsquo;s Drone as a Service (DaaS) national business model where it will offer convienence and low cost accsibility of drones for muliple uses occasional uses to business and government, such as for precision agriculture, power line inspections etc.</p>
<p>The company is positioned to benefit from the growing restrictions on Chinese drones and component parts in the US. The Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS) of the US Department of Commerce is examining a new regulation to ban Chinese drones in the United States of America due to national security concerns. To date, Chinese companies, in particular the industry giant Dai-Jing Innovations (DJI), have a market share of over 75 percent of the US drone market. Their share of privately used hobby drones is even more than 90 percent. A ban on the products of these companies would completely turn the industry upside down in the US market and create a huge vacuum.</p>
<p>The ZenaTech share is mainly traded on the Nasdaq. Recently, there has been profit-taking here after the share price multiplied at times. However, with a market capitalization of around EUR 100 million, ZenaTech is still a small cap on the technology exchange. In addition to organic and inorganic growth, politics and technological breakthroughs in drones, AI and quantum computers could also provide new impetus in the coming months.</p>

After AI: Quantum computers

This innovation has also supported the city&rsquo;s application for a FAA No Visual Observer flight operations waiver to ensure the safe separation and avoidance of both general aviation and commercial aircraft.</div>

This use of drones demands reliable monitoring to prevent any possible interference with other air traffic, including flights from Palm Springs International Airport, medical flights, air tours of the local area, other general aviation aircraft and more. Air traffic detection alerts from the MatrixSpace system will allow PSPD pilots to fly safely clear of potential aircraft.</div>

<p>While there is still plenty of information still unknown about the Mavic 4, we have been graced with some pretty rock-solid leaks that point to near-guarantees when it comes to the drone&rsquo;s features and capabilities. Here are some quick bullet-points on what the Mavic 4 will offer upon its release:</p>
<ul>
<li>Tri-Sensor Camera System (similar to the Mavic 3 Pro) at 28mm, 70mm, and 168mm Focal Lengths</li>
<li>Maximum Video Resolution Bumped-Up from 5.1K to 6K</li>
<li>Maximum Flight Endurance of 52-Minutes</li>
<li>360-Degree Obstacle Avoidance with Enhanced LiDAR for Computer Vision Assistance</li>
<li>Brand New Fuselage Design with Redesigned Camera and Gimbal Housing Featuring 360-Degree Movement Capabilities</li>
<li>Built-In Electronic ND Filter System</li>
<li>Increased Camera Tilt with a Maximum Upward Tilt of 70-Degrees</li>
<li>Ability to Shoot Portrait Photo and Video via a 90-Degree Gimbal Rotation</li>
</ul>
<p>Again, the list of new features and abilities does not end here &ndash; these are just the bullet-points that I am confident in saying will be guaranteed upgrades to the existing Mavic series from DJI. I think the most important improvement we will see comes in the form of the enhanced LiDAR for computer vision assistance in obstacle detection and avoidance.</p>
<p>We already saw a glimpse of this in the DJI Air 3S, where folks were able to launch their drone from nearly anywhere (even inside an underground parking garage) and have it return home to them safely thanks to it being able to reference a point-cloud via it creates in real-time via LiDAR to better detect obstacles around its path. Between the more robust platform in the Mavic drone and an opportunity to collect feedback from Air 3S users, DJI should be releasing one hell of a LiDAR sensor on the Mavic 4 for even better obstacle detection and avoidance.</p>
<h5><span style="color: #ba372a;"><strong>What We&rsquo;d Like to See From the Mavic 4</strong></span></h5>

<p>While the guaranteed specs and updates are enticing, there are still a handful of things that many of us are waiting to have confirmed regarding the Mavic 4. Speculation has swirled throughout the drone community about what would be great to see, but ultimately these articles, posts, and videos are just that &ndash; speculation. These bullet-points about what we&rsquo;d like to see in the Mavic 4 are no different, so take them with a grain of salt:</p>
<ul>
<li>Increased Camera Sensor Sizing, Specifically in the Telephoto Cameras</li>
<li>Maximum Megapixels Exceeding 20MP</li>
<li>More Internal Storage for Added Resolution in Photos and Videos</li>
<li>Better Signal Penetration &ndash; Beyond 20KM</li>
</ul>
<p>If I&rsquo;m making this bulleted list into my &ldquo;wish list&rdquo; in order of &ldquo;want most to want least,&rdquo; I&rsquo;d have to say&hellip;it kind of stays the same. I think the most important thing we could see would be increased sensor sizes on the telephoto cameras of the Mavic 4. The biggest criticism end-users had for the Mavic 3 was that it had an incredibly stout 4/3 sensor for its wide-angle camera, but then was disappointingly tiny for the telephoto sensors at just a 1/2-inch each. Assuming DJI keeps the wide-angle sensor at 4/3 (let&rsquo;s face it, for a drone in this category that is MORE than enough sensor for most people), it&rsquo;d be nice to see those telephoto sensors get scaled up to a solid 1-inch on each sensor. This will, undoubtedly, level the quality of media coming from each of the cameras onboard the Mavic 4.</p>
<h5><span style="color: #ba372a;"><strong>What You Should Consider Before Buying the Mavic 4</strong></span></h5>

<p>No matter what we see or don&rsquo;t see from DJI&rsquo;s newest Mavic drone, the expectation is that this will set a new bar in the prosumer drone category. Expect to see add-ons, capabilities, and features that will make your mouth water like it never has before. That said, just because it&rsquo;s new and shiny does not mean it is a necessary purchase for every person interested in drones.</p>
<p>Especially when the speculated pricing indicates a higher-than-ever tag on the latest DJI Mavic drone. Between the increased technological capabilities, tariffs from the ever-controversial Trump administration, and a variety of other factors related to the supply chain and other geopolitical issues, look for the Fly More Combo of the Mavic 4 to be pushing into the $4,000 USD price-range. Yes, you read that right&hellip;$4,000 USD.</p>
<p>Speculative pricing on the lesser combo kits ranges from $2,100 to $3,500 depending upon the configuration. Before you rush out with your credit card to drop this cash on this brand-new DJI drone, consider the following:</p>
<ul>
<li>Do you really <strong><u>NEED</u></strong> a new drone? I&rsquo;d be willing to wager the answer is actually &ldquo;no&rdquo; despite your own best efforts to justify the expense. Unless you have something older than a Mavic 3 Standard or your drone is broken, lost, or otherwise out of commission, the addition of a Mavic 4 will likely add little value to your already stout fleet.</li>
<li>Do you get enough paid work to justify the cost of a Mavic 4? If the speculative pricing discussed a few moments ago is true, it won&rsquo;t make sense for most hobbyists or casual workers to invest the money in this platform. Unless you are paying your own bills with the money you make flying drones (and I mean ALL of your bills, not just a portion of them), there is likely very little need to invest in a system this expensive&hellip;unless you have $4,000 burning a hole in your pocket &ndash; in which case, my Venmo is open, baby&hellip;my Venmo is open.<br /><br /></li>
<li>Will you actually even receive the Mavic 4 after ordering it? The release of the DJI Air 3S brought attention to a crack-down by US Customs on Chinese imports &ndash; especially DJI drones and drone technology. The last 6 months has yielded an incredible number of horror stories where DJI enthusiasts purchased an Air 3S and never received it (or received it many months after the fact) because US Customs refused to allow the products to enter the United States. Fast forward to today and we&rsquo;re seeing a ripple-effect from the same issue impact DJI users attempting to cash-in on their DJI Care Refresh, only to be told that their replacement drone cannot be delivered because of a hold and/or turn-away at its port of entry.</li>
</ul>
<p>No matter how you feel about the DJI Mavic 4 or whether or not you&rsquo;ve decided to purchase this upcoming drone, we can all agree that it&rsquo;s going to be a gamechanger in the prosumer category and will bring an incredible amount of benefit to those who are lucky enough to purchase and receive it.</p>

What We Can Expect from the DJI Mavic 4

<p><span style="color: #ba372a;"><em>28 March 2025</em></span></p>
<p>With the &ldquo;Willow&rdquo; quantum processor, <span style="color: #ba372a;"><strong>Alphabet</strong><span style="color: #34495e;">,</span><strong> </strong></span>the <span style="color: #ba372a;"><strong>Google</strong></span> parent company is apparently back in the lead.</p>
<p>The few listed shares from the sector took off after the announcement of the possibilities with &ldquo;Willow,&rdquo; and <a href="https://www.zenatech.com/" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><span style="color: #ba372a;"><strong>ZenaTech</strong></span></a>&mdash;an AI drone manufacturer&mdash;is also active in this sector.</p>
<p>Five years ago, Alphabet made its mark in quantum computing with the Sycamore chip. Now the Google Quantum AI research team has presented its next-generation quantum processor in the renowned journal Nature. Its name is &ldquo;Willow&rdquo; and it is equipped with 105 superconducting qubits. The new processor makes it possible for the first time to correct effective calculation errors. That sounds boring, but it is essential for a breakthrough in quantum computing. Due to the unstable nature of qubits, quantum computers are still very error-prone. Calculation results are noisy if several calculation steps are carried out in succession. They are then unusable. The aim of quantum error correction is to detect these errors and correct them during the calculation process. On the other hand, the speed is impressive: the chip is said to have solved a task in five minutes that would take the best supercomputer 10 quadrillion (1025) years.</p>
<h5><span style="color: #ba372a;"><strong>Quantum Shares Soar</strong></span></h5>
<p>After this announcement was made public, Alphabet shares were not the only ones to reach a new all-time high. The few listed companies in the quantum computer sector also recorded strong price gains, in some cases more than doubling within a few days. ZenaTech is an as yet unknown company on the Nasdaq that also uses quantum computing. The manufacturer of high-tech drones not only relies on the use of artificial intelligence, but also is working on the inclusion of quantum computing. One example is the company's most recent acquisition. ZenaTech has signed a letter of intent to acquire a two land surveying companies added to their completed aquisition. The acquired company, based in the western US, will use drones for land surveying and large area monitoring for wildfire detection and firefighting applications on Native American reservations. Quantum computing will also be added to the AI drones' capabilities to process large data sets. Together with the previously announced anchor acquisitions in the southeastern and southern US, this third acquisition will form the basis for ZenaTech's drone operations in the western US.</p>
<h5><span style="color: #ba372a;"><strong>Swarms of Drones&nbsp;</strong></span></h5>
<p>In addition, ZenaDrone, the subsidiary of ZenaTech, has now moved to a production facility in Phoenix to produce drones for the U.S. Department of Defense and NATO. The facility will produce ZenaDrone 1000 multifunctional autonomous AI drones for the US military, which must conform to strict specifications - a requirement that includes stringent cybersecurity and country of origin specifications. Research and development work at this facility also includes quantum computing, which is part of the company's previously announced Sky Traffic project. The aim is to develop swarms of drones for use in traffic management, border control and military applications for external security.</p>
<h5><span style="color: #ba372a;"><strong>More About ZenaTech</strong></span></h5>
<p>ZenaTech shares have been traded on the Nasdaq since the beginning of October and have already experienced a rollercoaster ride. However, with a market capitalization of around EUR 123 million, the company is still a small cap on the technology exchange. For risk-conscious investors, the ZenaTech share is certainly an opportunity to participate in developments in the fields of drones, AI and quantum computing.</p>
