Hello, I'm Capt. John Anestin and I'm your designated pilot, an Unmanned pilot. I've been navigating the skies for over a decade with an impressive record of more than 4500 flight hrs. My expertise spans various applications of drone technology, including aerial photography, infrastructure inspection, and environmental monitoring. From a young age, I was always fascinated by the sky. I would spend hours lying on the grass, watching the clouds drift by and imagining what it would be like to soar among them. My love for aviation was ignited by my grandfather, a retired pilot, who would share stories of his adventures in the cockpit. His tales of bravery and exploration filled my heart with a burning desire to one day take to the skies myself. As I grew older, my dreams of flying seemed to drift further away. Life had a way of steering me down different paths, and I found myself working a desk job that left me feeling unfulfilled. The spark that once fueled my passion for aviation had dimmed, and I began to wonder if I would ever find my way back to the skies. One fateful day, while browsing the internet, I stumbled upon an article about Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) and the incredible advancements in drone technology. My curiosity was piqued, and I began to research more about this fascinating field. The idea of piloting a drone, capturing breathtaking aerial footage, and contributing to various industries reignited the flame within me. Determined to pursue this newfound passion, I enrolled in a UAS pilot training program. The journey was challenging, filled with long hours of studying, practicing flight maneuvers, and mastering the intricacies of drone technology. There were moments of doubt and frustration, but I persevered, driven by the memory of my grandfather’s stories and the dream of soaring through the skies. The day I received my UAS pilot certification was one of the proudest moments of my life. As I held the certificate in my hands, I felt a sense of accomplishment and fulfillment that I had longed for. I knew that this was just the beginning of an incredible journey. Since then, I have had the privilege of working on various projects, from capturing stunning aerial photography to conducting vital inspections for infrastructure. Each flight brings a sense of wonder and excitement, reminding me of the dreams that once seemed so distant. Becoming a UAS pilot has not only allowed me to reconnect with my passion for aviation but has also given me the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the world. I am grateful for the journey that led me here and for the chance to continue exploring the skies, one flight at a time.
