The Walt Disney Company's seafaring division doesn't "just" christen a new luxury liner with a bottle of champagne smashed across its bow.
For the christening of the new Disney Destiny at its homeport in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Disney Live Entertainment used the ship as a canvas, utilizing drones and video projections to celebrate the Destiny's "heroes-and-villains" theme in spectacular fashion.
The Destiny's maiden voyage is set for November 20, 2025.
