Molly—a blind 11-year-old Labrador—had been missing for three days. The owner's reached the horrible conclusion that their pet had died.
But they tried a last resort—contacting Drone to Home.
The U.K. charity operates a drone search and rescue team to find lost pets.
And the drone found Molly—in just two hours after receiving the call from her human family.
"I don't get emotional very often, but the Lab did bring a tear to my eye," said Drone to Home's CEO Phil James. "I'm so happy for the owners to see them overjoyed."
James founded the team in 2019, initially funding searches and piloting the drone himself. Now, the charity has hundreds of volunteers who join searches either by piloting drones or looking for animals on the ground. To date, Drone to Home has successfully reunited 2,487 dogs, three ponies, an emu, a skunk, and nine cows with their grateful families,
"We all love what we do and have the best job in the world," said James.
