Walmart, which launched drone delivery in 2021, has added Atlanta, Charlotte, Houston, Orlando, and Tampa to its airborne distribution system.
The retailer states it has made more than 150,000 drone deliveries since debuting the service in Dallas, Texas and Bentonville, Arkansas.
“This expansion of our drone delivery service marks a significant milestone in that journey," said Walmart senior vice president of U.S. Transformation and Innovation Greg Cathey. "As the first retailer to scale drone delivery, Walmart is once again demonstrating its commitment to leveraging technology to enhance our delivery offerings with a focus on speed.”
