We don't know who they are—or even if they'll be able to continue invading the privacy of the rich and famous—but House of Celebs has been producing truly giddy drone footage of celebrity homes. Well, it's "giddy" content only if you're into peeking at fabulous mansions from above. (And who isn't—hahaha.)
The content providers first showed up on Facebook news threads promoting Reels that "visited" the abodes of movie and music stars via drones—which is what caught our attention. The House of Celebs Facebook page currently boasts 959,000 followers, and the individual video posts number anywhere from under 100 to up into the thousands.
At press time, the company's YouTube listed 6,000+ subscribers and 2,500 videos posted. Instagram showed 39,000 followers with 1,228 posts. TikTok lists 25,000 followers, but the views are often in the multi-thousands per video, which beats the engagement numbers on the other platforms.
There are also similiar sites that use drones to film celebrity, abandoned, or unreachable (to the public) areas, so we're thinking this content is kind of a "thing," and it's only possible because of drones—as well as those pilots brave or foolish enough to hover over the houses of, say, Mel Gibson and Cher. (If Mel was home during such a visitation, what would be the Las Vegas odds he'd go all "Braveheart" on the drone?)
In any case, from the safety of our laptops and mobile phones, seeing mansions most of us will never get invited to hang out at is big fun.
The YouTube Shorts are entertaining, but they don't allow embeds, so click here to see them.
Here's a taste of a few YouTube videos we can embed ...
