Skymagic has truly upped the drone-show game with its stunning laser drones, which were developed along with Light Electric.
The new tech dropped at a the Fireworks by Grucci New Year’s Eve show at Ras Al Khaimah in the United Arab Emirates. In a fleet of 1,400 conventional LED drones, 47 of the new laser drones were added to the production.
In a message on LinkedIn, Skymagic cofounder and director Patrick O'Mahony shared: "The Laser Drone is here. On 31 December 2024 at Ras Al Khaimah Skymagic Drone Shows took to the sky with our new Laser Drone. This new swarm drone developed by Skymagic in collaboration with Light Electric is a major technical revolution in the use of swarm drones to tell stories in the night’s sky."
Previewed during a discussion at SWSW 2023, the laser drones are now ready for primetime in 2025 and beyond.
